Hi friends,

I have one more query, if some industry does not cover under Minimum Wages Act in Tamilnadu, say diamond industry. Then what kind of Minimum Wages the employer should pay to it's workers.

this is a very good question
my view is that when an industry is not ntified under Minimum wages act there is no requirement of payment of minimum wages under the Act.
Hence no statutory authrity can question about payment of minimum wages.
However if we wish to pay minimum wages then we shall take up the minimum wages of alike industries covered by the acr
