Its time to submit investment declaration and other tax saving documents in my company. My company says that in order to get benefit of tax exemption on HRA, I have to submit rent receipts with either of one i.e. rent agreement or self declaration form.
So I have rent receipts but I don't have agreement done with my flat owner so now I need a format for Rent Self Declaration.
Please provide me with House rent self declaration format.

you are wrong bcoz rent receipts are not complete document for income tax department. i think your accounts department and directors have no good knowledge of responsibilities for income tax dept.
employer is responsible of poor or incomplete documents and company is liable for paid every income tax dues if every document is not available from the employee.
I just wanted to ask whether it is necessary to register the rent agreement or there is a limit on the amout of rent to be registered.
I will be shwing a rent of Rs. 8000/- per month for 11 months.
