Hi Mausam,
M not senior. Even i joined my company as management trainee recently..but i can give you some tips.
A brief introduction about company's values, culture, mission, vission, goals and polices like HR can also be included in Induction booklet.
Then you can conduct 4-5 days inter in which they can interact with all the senor people and 1 or 2 weeks intra department induction in which they can learn about other people's work and activities of their dept.
Show them prestations about other dept's functions.
Finally as rajesh said ask them to write a induction report including brief about every department which should be checked by concerned person of that dept, finally submitted in HR.
Hope this will help you.

Hi,
I had gone thru an induction in my previous organisation.
That was something wherein the top management from the organisation would talk to us through a recorded CD's.
And believe that actually boosts everything the way they talk and the simplicity in them is looked up.
And people love to reach the ladder.
There's a talk with the CMD of the company, then some MD's and then HR and then the people coming to work in different departments their respective Heads talking about their departments functionalities.
This actually gives a brief idea, but remember one thing let these interviews be recorded for max 15 mins of each individual
Or else people get bored to listen to big talks.
But, yes this can be made very interesting with beautiful instrumental music and so on.
And other things which you are having in your list is perfect.

Dear Mausam

Hi, i had faced similar issue when i joined newly here, and subsequently i tried to develop one induction kit, which consists of

1. Induction mannual describing, vision, mission, brief history of the company, List of Top executives with heirarchy, Time keepin policy, leave policy, Brief process of the company, product range, Employees Benefits eligibilty( as per cadre ), Housing policy, Company's HR,Quality, Safety/Health and environment policy. etc.

2. I have designed Orientation program for new entrant, ( for experienced employee - 08 days and for GET/Mgmt. Trainee -15 days )

first 01 days for explianing them - about organisation, structure, HR Policy, Discipline & rules and regulation, Fire & Safety awareness does and don;t s , Explaining Oraganisation structure and reporting pattern, Name of the department along with name of department heads,

I have made orientation schedule with reporting officer to whom new entrant appoaches and learn about the basic functions of each department.

3. after completion of the orientation training , i personnaly take new employees to unit head for taking feedback and suggestions if any, for further improvements. if required.

i think now you have got better idea about orientation/induction program.

you can contact me on my email

for additional details.
