Regarding the appoinement letter
Hello i had accepted a job offer by signing the appointment letter and my joining date was after a weeks time. the letter mentioned that "the appointment is in effect from the date of joining duty latest by ". a day before my joining i informed the consultant who was i touch with the hr verbally about my decision of not joining specifying the reasons. after this i did not receive any call from the hr/ consultant. 2 days after the joining date i did not join the organization i am asked by the consultant that i will have to return back the copy of the appointment letter to the hr. i would like to understand that is it a industry practice to take the appointment letter back in such case and what would be the probable reason behind it. i am informed by my consultant that they want the letter back in order to prevent any misuse of it. any information on this would be helpful.
Format of appointment letter to a consultant (freelancer)
Hey friends can anybody help me out with format of appointment letter to a consultant freelancer. is it necessary to have an agreement signed between the 2 parties?? or we can have a normal appointment letter for the same. also is there any legal formalities to be taken care off when consultant quits or organisation terminates him?? thanks in advance... regards nikhil gadodia

No appointment letter
Hi seniors i joined an mnc two years back but till date i did not receive my appointment letter from hr. all my coworkers got there appointment letters after a month of joining even some joined after my joining got there appointment letter on time. whenever i ask my hr for appointment letter he denies and say company do not provide appointment letter to employees & at the same time when i ask him that all my coworkers got there appointment letter on time than why not me? they have no answer for me & say you have salary slips & attendance show them as a proof whenever you join new company. two freshers joined after me with same designation they got there appointment letter on time and there salary is also rs. 5000 more than me. when i ask the reason to hr. again no answer. it seems like i am just wasting my time with here. please advice what to do.
