Hi,
Can someone suggest me what all are to be taken care of before you give employee verification letter. From sometime i see almost all the employees asking for verification letters, i checked with the acc's person, he says not an issue, chk with their joining date, and give them that they are working with us from so many months and drawing so & so salry, is it alright giving them with no other formalities, after all iam signing in the letters saying any question arise can call me, HR.. but is it right???, i want to be on safe side, but iam not aware of other stuff, iam new to all these....
Pls some suggest me..... waiting for ur replies friends........I NEED UR HELP AGAIN............ :roll:

Hi Sari,
In employee verifcation letter , you need to ask for duration, salary , last designated and reporting manager. These are few important which need to be mentioned on the letter.

Dear Sari,
These types of verification letter are needed for taking loans from the bank, taking postpaid connections etc etc. I don't think there is any harm in issuing such letters but you should be very careful while giving the particulars. If you are certifying the address of the employee then you need to cross check it with that in the personal file of the employee. If you are mentioning the salary then there are also chances that it can be used for showing in interview.

Hi Sari,
I completely agree with Abhishek, make sure that the information requested by the employee is the same as you have in your database. Also, whenever the employee asks for a verification letter only give it on written request by the employee.
