Applicability of Shop and Establishment Act in Maharashtra

Is shop and establishment act applicable when there are no employees.
what should be the number of employees for applicability of the provisions of the act.

I want to launch a web portal. For managing the portal I would be outsourcing the work to other agencies who would be working either at their own place or may work at my place for brief period. I may opt to have one or two employees. Please guide

hi! Yelkawar For 1 to 5 employees the challan for Shop & Establishment is Rs.300/- , if u show 1 employee or 5 employees the challan will be same .

my quiery is that my company is pvt ltd firm in kerala india but company have plan to take shop on rent for commercial purpose or office point of view pls can u tell me the legal formalities and its charge under Maharashtra shop & establishment act they arr also want to appiont as represntative and adminstrator in mumbai? what can i suffer any broblem pls help me
