Dear seniors,
can organisations send wishes to their employees on their wedding anniversary. it seems a bit personal to wish wedding anniversary to employees by HR, specially when these wishes are circulated across org.
I want you all to comment on this and please share your experiences and practices you came across.
Thanks!

Dear sharmaneesu
Good question !!!
Allow me to congratulate you on such employee-friendly and motivating thought.
It would be great if an company is doing it and does it with a GIFT of either a bouquet, sweets, small gift or a paid leave !!
Without any material gift, even if a token gift, the occassion would lose its charm. Moreover, it may entail a burden on the employee in terms of a treat or otherwise, if SUCH WISHES ARE CIRCULATED ACROSS THE ORGANIZATION.
You can, however, always send a personal mail (exclusively) to the employee wishing him a Happy anniversary !!
Warm regards.

I actually feel that Wedding Anniversary is personal to an Individual, and HR and Organisations would do well to stay away than jump to congratulate officially.

Dear Sharmaneesu,
In my opinion there is nothing wrong in sending wedding anniversary wishes to the employee. This occasion is very important in everyone's life next to his/ her own birthday.
But please remember it must be continued and sent to all employees and has to be updated every time an employee gets married.
If you start it continue it and do not stop it half way through. Once you initiate this the spouse will also appreciate the gesture and human touch your organisation has.
Good thought!!!

Dear Sharmaneesu,
Good Point.
As we have a manufacturing indurstry and we have a policy for Ma.Anni wishing that earlier we personaly went to Employees home in evening time with a bouquet and Sweet with wishing card. but as Mr. Ravi has told many of people treat this day as very specially so they prefer to go out side for enjoyment and if we asked them to stay at home as we want to wish them at home that was not good and fair.
so now we have changed our policy and started to wish them at company only, with sweet box and card. so both points can be covered.
there are many other options for motiving the employees for above disscussed point.

In our company the HR Head sends a congratulatory e-mail to the employee on his Wedding Anniversary and Birthday ofcourse. This mail is circulated to all employees. Many employees respond to this mail or send a sms. This gives lot of happiness to all.

Hi,
Let me share we do practice the same..We send bouquet at the employees home before he/she enters in office probably by 6:30 or 7:00p.m. & you would n`t beleive when the employee enters in the office with pride that company rembers.Offcouse we send Email to motivate them & seniors do respond on the same mail which brings hapiness.
Once an incident happen where employee thanks to HR by saying thanks you have remind me else my wife would not allow me to enter in the home in the evening as he forgotts...
Good na,so keep practising...

Dear Neesu,
Send a customized congratulatory ( Specific for the occasion ) mail of behalf of the company if you are working in larger organization or if you are working in a smaller organization then prepare some card and get it signed by by every person in the organization with the quotes and present the same in presence of everybody with a small tea party type of thing in the office premises only.
It will not intervene their personal space and will strengthen the employee employer bond. And make sure that whatever method you are using, it should be carried out for all the employees with uniformity.
