Which hospital are you working whether its a teaching hospital or an corporate hospital?? Which palce your hospital is located whether Urban or rural are. If you are specific i might be able to help you out. I am also working for Health care industry heading HR.

Dear Raghusekaran,

I would like to have formats which are used in hospital industry. I am new to this sector of human resources. I would like to have the details for a 300 beded hospital located in chennai and a charity hospital. Formats like nurses job description, work allocation, performance assessment, any other relavant formats pls.

hi everybody,

i think you people are mis conceptualizing the hospital and hospitality industry.

Hospitality industry is classified into basically like hotel industry, travel & torism, restaurants, clubs, pubs/bars, aviation, contract catering, event management companies, sport clubs and many more.

the recent challenges of this industry is the shortage of skilled employees and the second major challenge is the attrition rate of this industry.

When we review the challenges of HR in HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY,
first we should review the EXTERNAL factors which affect the HOSPITALITY
INDUSTRY and the INTERNAL factors which affect the HOSPITALITY
INDUSTRY.

1.EXTERNAL FACTORS.
-global political uncertainties.
-global economic situations.
-global financial situations.
-hospitality business financial viability
-technlogy challenges
-hospitality alternatives supply.
-safety and security issues.
-travel issues

2. INDUSTRY INTERNAL FACTORS.
-customer expectations of the various segments.
-intensive competition.
-shallow labour pools.
-significant competition for employees from other industries.
-escalating operating costs.
-rising energy costs.
-rising labour costs.

Some of the challenges in managing the human resources in the
hospitality industry are ''UNIQUE'' because of the nature of the
industry, while some are common like in many other industries.
