PART TIME MBA from ICFAI or IP...?
Hello,

I am a software engineer with 1 year experience.I have worked in HR domain too in campus recruitments. I looking for a doamin change and hence want to pursue part time MBA in HR

I came to know about ICFAI and GGSIPU(Indraprastha univ)..both ofer weekend MBA..
Can anyone provide some inputs and feedback regarding weekend MBA at ICFAI. I have a few doubts about the course and placement offered by ICFAI for weekend MBA

On the site icfai.org i could only find flexible programs in MBA but not weekend MBA. Is weekend MBA different from flexible learning?

If any body pursuing weekend MBA from ICFAI or has knowledge about it Kindly revert back at the earliest with the details.

I also want to know if there is placement offered by ICFAI for people pursuing weekend MBA.

Also, which course is more recognised..ICFAI or IP univ?? Plz reply

Re: PART TIME MBA from ICFAI or IP...?
Dear friend

Kindly note that many colleges offer PGDBA only and not MBA but they are promoting them as MBA courses. Moreover, do not go for any college / University which is not having national presence as you will find it difficult to relocate which has become a necessity in todays dynamic world. ICFAI and IGNOU are the ones which are having national presence and strong corporate brand name also.

Some of the salient features of MBA from ICFAI are:

* ICFAI gives MBA degree not PGDBA

* It guarantees job of Minimum 21,000/ per month.

* It has 145+ examination centers.

* It gives specialisation in 9 subjects.

* It's teaching methodology is case study based same as that of Harvard Business School and IIMs.

* It is associated with many international bodies like ECCH(European Case Clearing House), CIIA(Certified International Investment Analyst) and many more.

* It has separate research department to keep itself abreast of corporate world.

* It has its own book publishing department to update course content quickly.

* It not only takes care of your Managerial aspects but also develops your personality by teaching you Business etiquette, Communication skills, Business Letter writing etc.

* It sends you monthly Managerial Magazine to update you with current Business world.

I have myself done MBA from ICFAI Bangalore and I was Gold Medallist for being topper of my MBA batch (
