Dear seniors we have a factory licence with an employee strength of 200 as per karnataka factory act. we are doing job work sub assembly to various companies. now we got an order from a mnc company for sub assembly worksub contract. they will provide building power etc. whether we can send our employees directly to their building for sub assembly work? or we have to obtain any other licence. if we have to obtain labour licence how to get the same. what is standing order? we have company policy both are same or not. also what are the register we have to maintain? pl guide me we are awaiting your early response in this regard. sudha

Hello sir/madam i am working in komatsu india as a asst.manager in service support. normally we hire man power on contractual basis from chennai. now we have planned job at tata motors plant. but our customer is asking about labor licence. can any body let me know what is difference between factory labor licence which issue by factory inspector & contract labor licence which issue by labor department. right now our sub contractor company stationed at chennai & they have licence which was issue by inspectorate of factory under rule 46 of tamilnadu factory rules 1950. can he work on this licence as a contractual labor. please suggest. for reference our sub contractor company licence attached. regards munish

Hi to all we have applied for factory licence we heve paid fees as well as our factory plann also apporved by factory inspector. we have applicatioon receipt which is given by govt. authority for the same.so my question is this can we start our factory without factory licence?? but we have fees receipt. so kindly guide me what to do??:dry:
Corporate office registration under factory act ?
Dear friends we have a corporate office in delhi which is registered under shop & establishment act recently one factory inspector visited our office & asked to obtain the factory licence as well we show our shop & establishment registration and told him since we are not performing any manufacturing activity here so factory licence will not applicable. still factory inspector advising to obtain the factory licence . as per my understanding factory licence shall not applicable requesting you please provide your suggestion on the applicability of factory licence here & strong facts to deal with the factory inspector. thank you rgds... navneet kumar

Please explain what is the statutory diff if the factory licence is obtained for 50100250 500 & 1000 workers. also why most of the employers take licence for only 100 employees is there some relation in case the factory is to be closed. thanks & regards shivani

Dear all kindly advised whether a labour licence which has not been renewed for more than three years can it be renewed taking into account the fact that the orginal labour licence has been lost.can the labour office issue a duplicate & amended labour licence in such case? if yes what will be the detailed procedure for the same. if no what are the other options available.can a re registration is possible in this scenario. awaiting your earnest response thanks & regards ohla
