Hi dipil,
My view on waste management is
First identify all types of waste then categorized as hazardous and Non Hazrdous...
hazardous waste included, waste oil, oil soaked cotton waste, bio medical waste, batteries etc....
this need to be trated as per legislative requirements. If u ned any help with respect to legislation feel free to contact me at any time.. I will be happy to help u out.
Further for non hazardous wastem there can be many option not always land fill. We must avoid land fill and look for other alternate options. Recycle reuse.
This is how we are handling our waste
If u need more info pl call me at any time

First of all Heartest welcome to citehr... Hope you will be actively participating and sahring your expertise with us...
Thanks a lot for your inputs...
Actually we put the classification as Bio & Non-Biodegradable as these two words were taken into use in our plant from the begining... All are well aware of these two words... However thanks a lot for your advice...
In the attached document, anywhere we are lacking legal part, if we go ahead with the same... Pelase comment specifically into it, if gets time... Also surely I will give a call...

Hi Dipil,

I'm from a different country so the regulations whilst similar are likely to be different. That said perhaps the following considerations may be of interest. In managing Environmental Activity. An Environmental Strategy, Environmental Policy (may co exist with safety), Procedures. Procedures could embrace relaytive legislation, risk management, environmental licence, environmental incident reporting. The risk management activity should embrace "Aspects" and the associated "Impacts" of those activities on the environment or compliance with regulations.

Perhaps you're only seeking one part of this? Certainly in a Cement Plant the following considerations are likely, dust, noise, water, waste management, waste transfer, vehicle movement, chemical management, impact on people, and health monitoring. And then there's the action plan to manage actions to achieve compliance and mitigation or elimination the risks.

Sustainabilty and life cycle strategies may also impact the above plans.

I've attached an Environmental Compliance Audit Tool that may be adaptable and a short summary document outlining the environmental Laws and Regulations, United States

Good luck with your work. John
