The company has asked me to draft a 'Dress Code Policy'
All the gurus out here..........could you plz help me out with your guidance .......................

Basically it is a database company providing B To B services and comes undr service sector.....
I hope this info will help you in advicing me for the Dress Code Policy.....

as u are asking about is very inportant for any organization to represent there company . u should wearing formal. like pant,blazer , lite colour shirt and tie.. will be good .

All employees are expected to strictly adhere to the dress code of the Company at all times.

Level Dress Code

CEO, President Formal business suit. (Blazers/ Jackets may be hung in their cabins) - Mandatory

Vice President, Sr. Vice President, Asst. Vice President Formal business suit. (Blazers/ Jackets may be hung in their cabins) - Recommended

Sr. Manager, Manager, Assistant Manager, Formal wear (Wearing a tie is mandatory)

Sr. Officer, Officer, Sr. Assistant, Assistant Business casuals (Jeans, T-shirts, Chinos, Shorts, Sports shoes, slippers etc are not allowed)

Marketing Formal wear (Wearing a tie is mandatory)

All Women Employee Indian or Western formal wear

During a client / customer visit, everyone must be formally attired. Department Head must ensure that the employees working under them adhere to the dress code at all times.

Employees can dress casually on all Saturdays. However shorts, slippers etc. are not considered as part of casual wear

WHile drafting Dress code policy one need to inform emp what formal clothes means:
for men :
It can be business formal - Blazer
Formal - Light colour full sleves shirt
Semi formal or casual
same ways for females...

Standards of Dress
The company expects all the employees to wear appropriate dress relative to the job that you are doing. It is important to present a professional image with regard to appearance standards of dress and personal hygiene.
For men
• Suit or Jacket and complimentary trousers
• Collared Shirt
• Tie
• Clean Shoes with appropriately matching socks
For ladies
• Business suit or collared blouse with matching skirt or trousers
• Clean formal shoes

To observe proper dress norms and decorum in the Office
Consider the requirements of both the Organization and the Individual’s comforts
Guidelines
Formal clothes are acceptable as office wear during weekdays. Wearing a tie is not compulsory
Formal dress is very important when an employee is on official tour or is likely to come in direct contact with Suppliers / Customers / Dealers
On working Saturdays employees can be dressed in Casuals
All employees are to keep in mind that they are the ambassador of the company and thus have to be properly groomed so as to project a professional image at all times in the office.

These can be modified as per your working days.
