Project-Nature of Movement of salaries-IT and ITes Sector
I am doing a project on Nature of Movement of salaries in IT and ITES Sector in India and its impact on attrition in industry.
What I am planning to do is trying to do a small salary survey and try to compare it with the previous surveys available in market. I have described various latest market trends regarding various salary components. Then i try describing the levels where the salaries need to be compared. Now I am finding myself struck. Now I don't know how to proceed further. furthermore, I am not able to device a salary survey properly. Can someone please help me how to proceed further and work about this project.

Thanks in advance

Re: Project-Nature of Movement of salaries-IT and ITes Secto
HI Gautham,

I would suggest firstly know the eligibility criteria for both it and ites,
I believe ITES wud need comms skills, where as IT only tech knowledge is essential.
try to see the oppurtunities available for tech students i.e freshers, try to find out how many tech students are preferring ITES and why??, ITES salaries are hiked majorly becoz, market is saturated, poaching, trying out best possible ways for retention, etc , the case is diff for It, surveying ITES is easy, try to Survey now IT industry and now try relating the factors for differences in the pay.

All the Best

Sari
