I have joined a pvt. ltd. co. on 01.09.10, but the working pattern here is propriertorship in toto, i have around 22 yrs experience which includes 12 yrs in mahindra & mahindra and 5 years in indorama group. both these company along with my other previous companies has professional working pattern and were of corporate level. but here the scene is very different its only boss's words that is to be followed, his ego gets hurts if we give some good innovative suggestions or sensible opinion. he is also not at all a good listener which many a times irritates me. I FEEL THAT I HAVE NOTHING TO LEARN HERE AND HAVE NO GOOD EXPOSURE. i thought may be as this is my new job, i am not able to adjust myself here. but same is the story of the old employees too. they are here only it has low work burden and flexibility of time with good salary. but i feel if i continue with this environment i may loose my work efficiency and become lethargic.

NOW i got an interview call from a public limited good company which is ON 05.10.10 TUESDAY (TOMORROW). my question is WHAT SHALL BE MY ANSWERE TO THEIR QUESTION - "WHY DO YOU WANT TO SHIFT YOUR JOB SO FAST" KINDLY REPLY TO THIS AT THE EARLIEST SO THAT I AM WELL PREPARED WITH THE APPROPRIATE REPLY WITHOUT GIVING ANY ADVERSITY TO MY CURRENT EMPLOYER.

sincere regards

Dear Archana,
I would strongly recommend that you speak with transparency. Please remember that the interviewer is an experienced person and will sum you up in not time before the interview session is over!
You moved into a small organization after having worked for several large ones and it would be obvious why you want to return back to a the sort of Organizational atmosphere that you have been used to. Every interviewer would know that the environment that surrounds you in your work area is directly related to you efficiency levels.
Hence, I would recommend that you don't hedge from speaking ourt your mind. Your candidness will get you the job.
Best of luck,
Anand

Hi Archana, I can understand your situation and appreciate it that you are really concerned about your skills and knowledge and wanna switch your job bcz of it while getting good salary package there i guess and now you are facing this kind of problem that employers are asking you the reasons of your changing jobs but as you have mentioned that you have a long experience in your field of work and have spent a long time with an organization too, i dont think this question can bother you but if the employers as asking this then let them know that you have spent a long time with the organization and now you are looking for good exposoure and best opportunities for you as you are not satisfied so far.
Tell them honestly what you feel now and let them discover your efficiancies, experience and your attitude and more..im sure you can do it and will not disaapoint your recruiters

I would say that first learn about the prospective company's current and future business scope well and try and acertain a correlation between your skills, robust experience in your field and the company business needs. Your discussion should revolve around the recent achievements of the prospective employer and their future plans and that your skills would definately be beneficial to them. Dont talk about your current manager since this may not go well if your reporting manager is a part of the interview panel. Just say that your RM is supportive and always suggests new approach to problems. Say that you have more inclination towards a more process oriented company and this being a Listed company is definately a preferred choice for you. Let me think more and write back to you if possible.

Anil Pereira.

Hi!
Although I am late to reply to your question but still I would say that the situation you are talking about is enough to teach you but you don't want to read this chapter from the book called 'Life'.
Sorry to be blunt but such situation might pop up again in any other firm in future.
After noticing about your work experience I don't see myself giving you any tip but yes if you hold the book very close to your eyes you would not be able to read, in that ways I can comment.
Anyways what ever you decide have fun and enjoy!
Best Wishesh
