Hi, You can read factory act in which clearly mentioned that there should be a first aid box on every 50 employees, regarding medicines and its contents you can go through the websites. Sameer

Dear Manisha
I am not sure whether your firm will comes under Factories Act or not. However the requirement of First Aid Box is clearly defined in Factories Act 1948.
Dear Sameer
I am disagree with your statemet. As per section 45 of Act it states as below.
45. First Aid Appliances - 1. There shall in every factory be provided and maintained so as to be readily accessible during all working hours first aid boxes or cupboards equipped with the prescribed contents, and number of such boxes or cupboards to be provided and maintained shall not be less than one for every one hundred and fifty workers ordinarily employed at any one time in the factory.
Manisha you may refer your applicable state factory rules for getting the prescribed contents to be maintained in First Aid Box.

Hi Sunil,
Since ur Company is under BPO sector, u need just a OTC(Over the counter) Kit. The First Aid kit includes Fever tablets(Crocin, Paracetamol & Colpol), Motions tablets(Eldoper), Headache tablets, Stomach ache tablets(Rantac, Zintac), Bandages, Handy plast, spirit, Voilin Spray, Irritation & alergic tablets(Cetrizin), Cold tablets(D-cold total, Coldact),bodypains tablets(brufin or some antibiotics).
This are the medicines commonly used in every company. As of now in our factory we do use the same kind of medicines. Ensure that HR person is totaly responsible for refilling of tablets once in a month or twice a month, expired tablets need to disposed or returned to medical shops.
This entire process should be tracked out periodically. So, separate sheet should be maintained where u can note it down each & everything.

Hi All,
Recently, a bycycle has been stolen from parking available outside our office building. Unfortunately, the bycyle belongs to one of our empoyee and he was in his shift when his bycycle was stolen. I am confused how I can help that employee coz as per my understanding any refund can not be paid to that employee.
Please help.....
