Leave due to emergency asked on probation period
An employee joined on 16th july 2015. she is on probation for 3months. now asks for one day emergency leave by email and management approves 01 day cl. second day again she requested for emergency leave. management now grants 03days cl . because 1st day of leave was friday. second day of leave asked is saturday. sunday is weekly holiday. is management wrong or right on granting leave? as per leave rule previleged leave can only be availed after serving one full year but in case of emergency leave can be granted. please give experts comments on the matter . regards.
Personnel file management of old and left employees
Hello seniors good day we have thousands of files of old employees and existing employees which not arranged properly till date and i need expert advise to keep those files properly maintained so in future it will be easy for others to access it. either i arrange it employee id wise? or department wise? or according to last day of working wise? which will be the best method to keep records safe and well maintained... need some reflection from seniors.. to keep things uptodate.. thank you
El/ sl leave eligibility during maternity lop
Hello please help me to clarify a query in maternity leave. suppose a women is having 3 month maternity leave and she extended her leave for 3 months which falls as lop what would be her normal leave eligibility for that lop period? ie will she eligible for earned leave/ casual leave/ sick leave for that period ? she joined the service after 6 months leave.please confirm. regards kala

Leave policy casual leave / earned leave/ sick leave adopted in major it companies?? we have leave policy which covers the following leave types casual leave 12 days :eligibility : to all employees. it will be credited after the first payroll and their entitlement will be prorated based on date of joining. earned leave 12 days eligibility all full time employees who have completed their 1 year of service are eligible. sick leave 12 days eligibility all full time employees who have completed their 1 year of service are eligible. my queries are 1 i get feedback from experience new joinee that earned leave & sick leave eligibility was not fair for experience members there should be earned & sick leave. they quote other companies / industries standards. 2 did the number of leave granted in our leave policy is matching to industry standards. please advice & comment.
No half day granted to employees
Dear seniors i need an immediate help... i am working as hr in a company . the employees in my company once in a while used to take half day leaves or an hr early leaveswhich i thought was natural and happens in every company. yesterday morning the management kept a meeting with hr team and said that half day system is to be taken off from the company. half day leaves or an hour early leave will not be given to employees hence forth. if an employee wants to take half day or an early leave he has to take the entire day leave and has to be informed the previous day itself. also the management asked the hr team to make a notice on this and inform the employees. we did the same. now the employees are all coming against the management and hr and saying that they need half day system or else they need an alternate for thatbecause they do not take such leaves purposefully but for their personal but unavoidable needs which they cannot keep aside just because they are working. i personally support the employees but did not say that out or comment on what they said. now my query is: 1is there actually a practice or system of half day in companies? 2was that right of the management to take off this system? 3any alternate for half day system?as the employees demanded please advice am looking for an urgent response if you don t mind. :
About sick leave,casual leave and earned
