Dear seniors,
Could anyone there please give me an advice how to explain when ask about one’s weakness and strength during in an interview? What are the weakness and strength one can mention? If at any given situation asks to say something about one’s weakness and strength by the hr, how can I explain it?

You know your strength & weakness means you know yourself in upto good extent.
After your selection company can use your strength for organizational growth & company will avoid to assign task in which your weakess may frustrate the project.

I want to give organizational example....
If you are emotional & sensitive to others then I guess it would be cumbersome for you to terminate /transfer an employee if his/her immediate boss don't like him/her & want to terminate/ transfer him/her to remote place.

During an Interview when you are asked about your weakness and one strong point, while telling your weakness you should keep in mind that you have to tell your weakness which looks normal and not of serious nature, your weakness should be like obvious one, which is normally a part of everyones personality, which should not be like, that could affect your work and organization in any way. For this you have to think and decide what to say and dont go for a readymade answer, beceause interviewer can go ahead and tactfully ask related questions in a tricky way, so be honest and beleive me interviewer will like your honesty.

For strong point you can tell anything in which you are very comfortable and you think you are good in that and you can handle it very efficiently. Think in what you are best. Interviewer will ask you lots of tricky questions but as you are good in that you will leave a good impression.

This is a very important part of interview as by doing this Interviewer is throwing ball in your court and he is reading your facial expressions and body language. Dont do any tall talks which you cannot handle. Interviewer is just expecting a straight and honest reply. Be careful in what you say and how you say.

Discover the strenght behind your weakness. It's paradoxical in approach. For instance, slow thinkers move slowly but are known to be careful, detailed and meticulous. They are usually better finishers than the quick thinkers. The quick thinkers are easily attractive but most times, small but important details are easily overlooked. So, in a corporate organization, team work blends people of divers strenghts and weaknesses. Summarily, sincerely ask yourself what your areas of weakness are and discover the strenght behind the weakness.

I believe that you know about your strength but about the weakness you can you can use below point.

Sensitive person: Taking things to heart and getting too disappointed when things are done in the wrong way.
Too helpful: Crossing limits while helping teammates

What is your Strength means what are the positive aspects you have in yourself that makes you a good person, how you make use of those points while dealing with others & in difficult situations, with this strength how you will influence,support people at workplace and how you will make use of your strengths to do your work in the concern.
Example of Strength - Positive Thinking,Self respect,Self Confidence,My smile,Time management(keeping up time or doing things on time),Team working etc

So When strength has so many things to do in the workplace & life obviously they would like to know what weakness of yours may effect your growth in life & how your weakness may effect ur colleagues which in turn will result in poor productivity or low performance people in the company.

Well the fact is all of us have Strength & Weakness so we should never hesitate to speak it out but when you speak about your weakness u should explain it to them about the measures you are taking to overcome ur weakness.
Eg - If u say i get stressed out fast when the workload is high then your answer should be
"normally i get stressed out fast due to workload but now i have started meditating everyday from past 2 months and i can see that i have good control over my stress,now workload is not a pain for me.

So ultimately the company wants to know do u think practically and come out with a solution to problem or due to accept the problems without finding out any solution to that and blame that it is your fate etc

One should not always live with their weakness even after realizing that its a negative point in their life.We should be smart enough to convert their weakness into strength.......
