Pls will anyone let me know wether I can file monthly PF & ESIC challans without having to visit SBI.
the esi Chalan is submitted half yearly interval.
PF challan is submitted monthly. along with form 12A,form5(additions),form10(removals)

the mode of payment of Provident Fund and Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance dues as below:

Provident Fund & Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance dues is paid by money order/ by deposit in payees' bank a/c/ through employer/ by depositing the cheque in payees' name or part of amount in annuity scheme in any nationalised bank. Payment by money order is allowed where the amount is not more than Rs. 2000/-.

ESI Corp is implementing IT in a big way in its organisation. If all goes well, from september onwards, IT infrastructure in ESIC will be in stream. In such a scenario, every employer would get a an user ID and a password. They can simply log-in into the ESIC site and do the following......

1) Register their employees and get ESI card online.(No need to go to ESI Local office)
2) Maintain ESI payroll online (presently have to maintain Form & register physically)
3) Submit returns online
4) Also print filled up challans from your online account. (however payment has to be made physically at the SBI counter for some time until the payment gateway is finalised)
5) Even dispensaries have to maintain a log of medicines given, diagnosis reports in respect of each patient(employee) who visits the dispensary.

Expect a sea change within a month or two
