Dear Friends,
Need your help on the following:
My organization believes that the investment involved in full fledged trainings on various skills or behavioural aspects is going to be too high an investment-monetarily as well as time spent per person. So they've asked me to seek alternatives in 'Software' support or purchase Training modules available as CDs. I am told these CDs not only cover the entire theoretical inputs, but also cover tests at the end.
Can you let me know the websites where such modules are available for sale or 'Names' of CDs that you can confidently recommend for me. Also, if I buy a CD, and make copies for all Employees, can I do the final assessment for all?
Awaiting your replies.
Regards.

Dear Sonali,
I do understand their s a major cost involved when training happens across, but only CDs won't solve your purpose , you might adopt a blended learning approach where is classroom training reinforcement is done through Online learning or Elearning. There are many companies into Elearning, you can try them out. You can check out 24x7learning. they have numerous Elearning modules.
Do let me know if you require further help.
Sincerely

Dear Ashutosh,
Thanks for your response. I checked up the website of 24X7learning. The irony is, that e-learning (or developing e-learning modules) may also be considered expensive. I have been asked to buy ready-made training modules and pass on the cds to all, having set timelines for people to submit their responses. :? I appreciate the concept of blended learning, but am not sure if it will go down well here-now.
Know of good training modules available on CDs, complete with evaluation?
Regards.

Hi Sonali,
First of all you plan your training according to your employee's needs, Organizational needs. Training for the sake of 'training' only does not serve any purpose.
Consider the following points while planning:
1) List out training subject
2) Develop internal faculty pool (from within your sr. and experienced employees, even you can call from the retired employees, if they found competent)
3) Make a detail training budget and get it approved.
4) Plan training maximum one to two hrs possibly soon after lunch break.
5) Constantly update management on ROI on training i.e. Reduction in quality, reduction in no. of grievance etc. Always try to present post and after training scenario in a quantificable way.
Over and above make and conduct training in a holistic way. Remember it's a constant process and it is you who would convince management about the importance of training.
Best Regards,
Pradipta

Dear Sonali
I am a trainer operating out of cal
Please will you share your location I can help you out
Please understand that training has to be customised to each employees requirement to make him conform to a bench mark of performance. Therefore there can not be any standardised set of inputs i.e. one size fit all. You have to share the performance of your employees and analyse the needs.
If you feel fit
