Hi Neha,
Training Need Analysis is very important step before giving training to employees.
if your employee pool is vast than you can carry out this analysis by making a survey form online.
It includes Compitancy based assesssment, Performance based assessment and their own opinion abt training need.

Hi Neha,

I am Vijay Laxmi Nayak from Bangalore, I think as a HR executive u ar well aware of importance of training programme. See u can divide training into two parts.

1. Training related to work: It envolves process training nd technical training which will mainly related to one particular domain.

2. Training related to culture: It envolves training of soft skills, team bonding/team work, stress mangagement, people management etc which will help employees to develop their other skills not for the benefit of employees only but for the benefit of organization as well.

Yes for training analysis is very important. For analysis u have to decide first what short of training ur employees required and for this u need some data which u can get from different sources. The best way to get the data is to do 1-o-1 with employees. Believe me it is really helpful.

The outcome of analysis should be the following:

1. Who requires the training?

2. What training?

3. How much training is required?

Then only u can decide what short of training u want to organise for ur organisation.

Dear Neha,
First and foremost please understand the organization, its business how it is done, the organization's Values System, Corporate Objectives, Vision & Mission Statements and try to arrive at some conclusion as to what kind of Training is required.
Then decide HOW you want the training programmes to be organised...In House or throug some external agencies.
Merely doing Training for the sake of it does not make sense.
Cheers!!!
