Hr vs admin
Every management institute conducts courses like mba in hr. hr as a career has grown over the years. i know the job profile of hr and also the job profile of admin. it is said that a hr person can do a admin job but an admin person cannot do a hr job. if both the fields are different in terms of functions why many companies club them and call it as " hr & admin dept". hr is all about managing human resources. admin is all about managing day to day activities of the organization for eg. managing the establishment keeping the premises safe and clean transportation canteen management etc. in today s age of specialization why do companies expect hr person to do admin job when they can afford to keep a separate person for admin. i know this question may have been asked several times on this forum but this time i want a clear answer. 1. should a person who has done mba in hr go for hr & admin role or only look for hr? 2. is it right to club hr & administration? please throw some light on this topic because not everyone wants to go for admin profile
Steps for starting hr and admin department and activities?
Dear all this to inform you that i joined in new service sector as hr & admin executive but here is no any hr & admin related activities.i am the first person who is going to start here hr & admin activities. so please guide me which activities i will start here as a hr & admin person here is no any senior person to guide me. so please kindly guide for the same. thanks & regards tushar
Can an it/admin ask employees to share their official passwords and maintain a list?
Our it admin person is asking everyone in our company to share their official company email passwords. the it admin person already has access to the main admin account of the email management system and can anytime change the password of anyone. many people in our team are concerned as if there is a list of passwords are leaked anyone can access anyone s account and send emails. this could put the person whose email account was used in trouble it act etc what if someone sends dirty pictures or threats. the it admin person has not even asked to submit passwords via an official document; he has just asked it verbally and the main hr person is also pressuring the employees to give the passwords. can anyone explain the implications and legality of this? are there any other alternate solutions?
Hr or admin? what should i do?
I hav done 2007 & working in a co where there is no hr dept frm last 8 days. the job is hr admin. i hav 2 handle all admin activities. the hr activities are very less or not at all. it was told 2 me that job is hr admin like 60hr & 40 admin. but it looks like it is pure amin. now i m confused. shoud i continue with this or should i leave. will this experience be useful for me in my career? plz help me. its urgent
Just want to advice for regarding designation
Hi all kindly let me know the correct designation of a person who is manager and handling hr admin accounts and finance department of mnc company where 17 people are working. and she has 3 subordinates under her working as front office excutive helping in admin work assistant admin and hr assisting in admin and hr work and finance officer taking care of accounts and finance. please suggest the right designation. thanks br preeti
Why hr & admin club together in organisation ?
Dear all i dont understand why hr and admin under the same head ? hr & admin is not linked and related.admin job is most non technical & any graduate can also perform the duties with little or no experiencewhich is not the case for hr.hr is mostly performed by specialist and professionals. hr needs to have interpersonal skills communication skills listening abilities friendly considerate etc. wherein for admin you dont need any of these skills necessarily. most of the mid level/ lower level/start ups have admin and hr under the same banner to reduce cost. appreciate to have feedback of the seniors. thanks ab.
