From India, Calcutta
shilpi03
CTC calculation is as follows-
There are certain addition and deductions are made to get the net pay it is as follows.
let if the basic salary is =4000
the P.f dedction is 12 percnt of basic=12 %4000=480
D.A is added,supoose it is 25%of basic=1000
let there b certain allowances which comes around 4000(travelling allowance, mobile expence, tiffin, eduation etc)
thus the net pay will be=4000-480+1000+4000=8520 and the ctc will be withodt any diductions thus it will be 4000+4000+1000=9000*12=108000 CTC
hope this will help....

Dear Mr Manjeet
Conveyance Allowance Rs.800/- per month is exempt from income tax and tax can be saved on HRA if it is 40% of basic. Company can pay excess from these but that will be taxable as other allowance.

Hi,
The cost to company (CTC) includes all that the company pays to the employee. Take the total of basic salary, DA, HRA, Other allowances, PF contribution of both employers & employees & deduct the total of all deductions like the profession tax, ESIC etc. The net amt. multiplied by 12 will give you the CTC.

Dear Cost to company means, what is the cost to company to manage one employee, position dosn't matter when calculating ctc of employee, it may be very person to person and position to position.
for calculating CTC, calculate all direct and indirect cost which company incured to manage one employee, it includes Salary+PF+ESI+Mediclaim & PA(if company takes)+Expenses+Perks+Perquisuite+Incentive+Bonus etc and divide them with the individual sales
