Hello Sir,

If any employrr is absent for complete month & earned " 0" sal. for that month do we need to pay his contribution of MLWF?

If Yes, then from where we will have to pay kindly guide?Pls reply urgently.

I believe Mumbai Labour Welfare Fund Act does not speaks about the MONTH/salary he earns but it speaks about the Employee on muster-rolls as on December of the year. Thus MLWF is payable. I'm not aware of MLWF Act but is should be similar to the one applied in my state.
But if that staff is not present for Single day in that particular month , then who will going to pay his part of contribution? Pls help me urgetly. Regards, Madhura
1) LWF has to be paid for all the employee who has worked for atleast 30days in the calendar year irrespective of whether he is dismissed, discharge or has resigned from service.

2) The employer is authorized to deduct the employee contributions from his salary.

3) If the employer employer through inadvertence or otherwise had no deducted, it can be made from the wages of such employee for any subsequent month with the permission in wirting to inspector appointed.

4) Deduction from wages as enshrined in "Payment of Wages Act" has to made.
