You first will need to decide on the budget. There are certain innovative spot awards that help employees feel good. Too much of spot awards will take the shine off these initiatives.
Some that I can think are, Appreciation Cards, Thank You Cards, Smiley Balls, You made my day badge...
We recognize people who get max number of appreciation cards during annual reward and recognition awards ceremony night.
