Hi,
In lighter vein we call collective bargaining a process where the managements bargain and union collects!!!
In serious terms, it is a process of discussion and negotiation between two parties on terms and conditions, under which a continuous service is performed.

Hey
colective bargaining is a process wherby the unions collectively bargains with the managemnt for various benefits that must be provided to the woerkers.
EG if workers want a 10 % hike in thier wages the TU on their behalf sits with the mgmt and says we want a 10% hike in wages, the mgmt obviously tries to bargain and may say we can ofeer onle 7 % hike then TU may again say not less that 9% hike in any case.........so both TU and MGMt are basically bargaining ........and they collectivelly bargain till they raech a situation which is agrreable to both parties.
thats collective bargaining. it is important to mention here that CB is differnt from WPM(workers participation in mgmt) where the workers actually take part in mgmt.
