How hr people can control attrition?
Hi friends people are going to switch everyday. in todays scenario attrition is one of the major problems that it & nonit sector is facing. these days market is open for everyone. hr is the key person between management and employees. how hr people can control attrition rate? list hr can do one to one session and discuss lot of things with employees. like salary hike but if we will increase hike to particular employee then rest of the employees will also demand motivation should we send appreciation mail to employees? friends please give your valuable suggestions and contribute your new ideas for controlling attrition. thanks suman kataria

Dear all i am working in a software department of a hardware company as a hr asistant. we have only one hr dept for both software and hardware. software people have saturday sunday off and hardware people have sunday off. now the problem is arised while preparing the leave list for the year 2007 our dept prepared one list where software people got 9 holidays and hardware got 10 holidays because one festival holiday came on saturday. now my question is how many leaves given per year is there any rules regulation there for tht is the management decision final how can i convince software employees. anupama

Which is better naukri or monster ?..please help
Dear all i have started a new hr consultancy and i find it very difficult to choose a database service provide so please advise me on what i should be doing and also i am opting for the annual subscription. i also want to share some info i collected about naukri and monster. naukri list1 it was started way back in 1997 and everybody seems to know the brand. they are not providing flexible payment options and also the premium service limits your access to just 50000 resumes a year. they have good website traffic as per alexa. montser list1 they started in the year 2004 and only employed and urbane people seem to know the brand better. they are providing very flexible payment options and unlimited access of resumes. they are behind web traffic when compared with naukri. personally i like the user experience of monster but i am a bit confused as lot of people seem to favour naukri i am referring to the people i met in the business and also in different review site. i find citehr to be the best hr community forum for companies and consultancy please advise me on what i should be doing hank you in advance
