Dear friends,
I am attaching copy of Employees' Compensation Act 1923 (earlier known as Workmen Compensation Act 1923) as amended till date in Word format for your reference.
It may be noticed that as per WC Amendment Act 2009 the word 'workman' has been replaced by 'employee' throughout the Act.

Can U elaborate more on E C Act. Pl inform does it mean that all employee irrespective of Designation are covered under the new E C act who are drawing more then 15000/- salary ( other way not covered by ESI)

Hi. Can anyone of you post the Employees Compensation Act 1923 alongwith the footnotes. Also the ESCI Act and The insurance Act 1938 with footnotes. I have found a few pdf / doc files but all are without the foot notes. Thanks

DEAR All I NEED SOME CLARIFICATION ON COMPENSATION ONE OF OUR STAFF MET WITH AN ACCIDENT IN FACTORY PREMISES AND HE IS NOT COVERED IN ESIC AND HE IS ABSENT FOR DUCT FOR 15 DAYS COULD YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN IN WHICH SECTION HE IS ELIGIBLE FOR COMPENSATION AND WHAT IS THE CALCULATION.
