Hai I am working in a Pvt company , I need help in calculatining EDLI . Our company exempt from EDLI in PF but we under take PVT EDLI Policy. In this regard ,how there calculate EDLI

If you are exempted from EDLI on the basis of your group insurance policy of LIC, you need not contribute towards EDLI and administration charges thereon. However, you have to pay Inspection charges @ 0.005% of the total wages every month.

Dear Sir,
Recently, there is an amendment in the provisions of EDLI Scheme 1976 where there is an enhancement proposed under the said Act. If so, will LIC will also enhance the ceiling to provide more increase in quantum of sum so as to qualify for exemption under PF Act. Kindly clarify.

R/sir, we are doing arrear p.f calcultaion apart form that basci-420/- p.f- 51 can u tel edli wages *0.01000% = 0.41 or there is any minimum amount

Dear Madhu Sir,
Then, as per your message what would be the total percenatge of PF admin charges ( normally it is 1.61% of Basic with EDLI in it). And how would be the bifurcations/ calculations?

Dear VSV Lakshmi,
EDLI calculation is on cetral pooling basis. i.e the calculation it is not individual. Take the consolidate salary of all applicable employees (subject to individual ceiling of Rs. 6500). Calculate the 0.5% and round to nearest rupee. However this should not be below Rs. 2.
