Dear Sir,
I did not get any joining or appointment letter where i am working presently. also i am not on pay roll. I get salary by cheque which i deposit in account.
now the only proof i have to say that i am working for that company.
Now I got a better offer and my new employer ask for release order.
Now what should i do. how to handle this situation.
The first question form my new employer was how come u join without joining letter?
Please advice.

Dear santosh731,
If you have good relation with your present company tthan ask for any kind of proof if they are not providing yu the joining letter..like on companies letterhead you can ask to give your present wroking status.

Dear Sir,
Thanks for u reply. but i am afraid.
cause here lots of politics going on and my immediate boss is always trying that i should get fired.
Our company is very small
only 2 office staff
at factory including me 3 working staff
and 6 operators and 3 drivers
and one director
because of my immediate boss my reputation is not as good and I am retired from Indian Air force as automobile engineer that effect him lot cause my 20 years experience.

i am not so concern about the appointment letter. as i know many companies that do not provide an appointment letters. however i am concern about how come u are not in the payroll. for the company to issue cheque to you, u must be in the payroll somewhere if not the company will have problem in their account. i have many times interviewed candidates without appointment leter from their previous employer. does have small concern about that but after all what matters the most is questions i asked and how they answer.
advise to u, try to ask for appointment letter in the future for any job you attend but really certain company not providing that. but at least they should have provide you a employment contract.
