Dear all,
As per government norms 26 days are calculated for salary in every month, there is no partiality to the workers like skilled or semi skilled or clerical job the role applicable to all, but some of the private concerns follows 30 or 31 days for their own benefit.
Be clear 26 days are consider salary calculation period.

I would like to add that for a fulltime Salaried employee most organisations use the term CTC ( Cost-to-company) these days when deciding on the package. Does this CTC include the PF contribution from the employer side also?
So effectively the Employee will get Salary = CTC-PF contribution. Is this correct?

Hi Suresh,
I have seen you comments about salary calculation where i have some doubts, as per my understanding PF is 12% of the basic salary where you have mentioned 4000/- Rs. is the basic salary, now on this his PF will be 480/- Rs. per month.
now given below calculation, i don't understand, please help me out.
his PF will be 6000/31*31 X 12% = 720 (i.e. per day PF will be 23.23)
may be i am wrong but so please update me on this.
Waiting for your kind Reply.
Kind Regards,

Hi Suresh,
From ur post this is clear that pay calculation to be made for 30 days. Now i have got two queries:
1) what about feb month having 28 days?
2) Every company follow their own payroll period of 30 days / 31 days so that the salary of the employees get credited by the month end.Take an example like in my company we follow payroll period between 28th of previous month till 27th of current month for pay calculation of current month(ie 31 days). So in this case everymonth it will change as 30 days / 31 days and 28Days and the employees get the salary by current month end.In this case how can the funda of 30 days can be calculated?
Kindly let me know solution for these two. kindly mark a copy of ur reply to my mail id-
