In this case EDLI amount will be 20 times of salary subject to a ceiling amount of Rs. 1,30,000.
If the death is caused due to accident and the meber was covered by Insurance Scheme in lieu of EDLI, there may be provisions to get double benefit. i.e Rs. 2,60,00 or more.

As per rule one month contribution is required to get EDLI benefit. But practically one day attendance after registered with EPF will do for EDLI, Family pension etc. Abbas.P.S
