Hello Everybody,

I want to share my experience about a workshop which I recently conducted in Pune.

The workshop was for a IT company and the topic is " Presentation Skills & Business Communication ".

During there the workshop, I divided the employees in 4 groups and there were many activities that they have to do as a team.

One such activity was, To create a new and Innovative product and try to sell it to the auidence. The team consisted of 4 members. The responsibilites were shared as below.

Once the product was ready.

Member 1 - Will introduce the product to the audience and explain the features.

Member 2 - Will concentrate and explain only about the USP pf the product.

Member 3 - Will Quote the cost and describe how this product is best as compared to others.

Member 4 - Will answer the questions put forward by the audience.

The entire activity went so well. I was very much impressed by looking at their Innovative Ideas.

One team came up with a New Mobile phone in which you can listen to music in background while talking to your friends on phone.

Other team came up with a Automatic Iron which has some creative features.

Another team came up with a Newly Designed Database .

Last team cam with a New Digital Camera, Which has the features of Video recorder and very high resolution power.

Some of the products thought about are possible to manufacture and some might not.

BUT the main thing is, Each one of us can think innovatively. We have the confidence to talk openly before people.

We can present things very interestingly before people.

BUT WHAT HAPPENS IS - Most of us, hide our talent in ourselves. We are afraid of what other's say.

My simple adivce is Please dont bother about what people think about You.

If you know what you are doing right and not harming anybody then just go ahead and do it.

During this workshop, some team members who were hesitating to speak before audience at the start of the workshop, Where speaking excellently and

without nervousenss towards the end.

If one day can make such difference, then if you practise everyday , it will bring a great change.

If any of you are interested in conducting similar workshops in your organisation too, Please let me know.

TOGETHER LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Dear Madhav,
A good post to say what you did. But do not be surprised if you get no comments after 12 views. The comments to view ratios can vary from 1 to 7 to 1 to 150.
A good way to publicise our work on this forum.
Have a nice day.

What ideas did you introduce before giving this 'game'? How many hours you spent on this? How could they be motivated to do such an excellant job? How much time did you allow them for formulating and presenting their 'ideas'?
