Dear All,

Please help me on this query. we already have one location registered under Delhi act. now we are opening new office at different location in delhi itself.

do we need to get registered the new location under the same act? will the old registration will work for new location as well.

pls tell me....

Thanks for reply. i have gone through the act to some extent. registration process is there at initial level but i have not seen how another location in same city is to be registered.

thoough i came to know we just need to inform the authority about second location and the number of people would work in that.

In my opinion if you are having new establishment in another area where this Delhi Shop Act is applicable then you are required to get that establishment registered separately under this Act as the premises is different as per the definition of the Shop under this Act. we have to take different registration for different location.

Is registration under Delhi Shops & Commercial Establishment Act mandatory. If yes, can any organisation incorporated in 2001 go for this registration now.

Yes. It is mandatory to get the establishment registered under this Act. If there is any exemption for any establishment then there is no need to get that establishment registered otherwise we are to get this registered even if it was incorporated in 2001.
