Hi all,
In my organisation, we have HR division and training centre separately. Now, my CEO wants to integrate two units into HR department. As result, I have to make a draft of HR department with apparent functions and responsibilites in regard of recuitment, training, compensation and benefits, and HR information management or administrative activities. I don' have a good eye for the particular HR department.
Because of that, can anyone kindly help me to have a comprehensive pictures about the full-fledged HR department and HR department chart in general and in detail as well.
Thanks you and best regard,
Yearning

I am now working in HR division. Most of the activities we do is administrative part. Moreover, our training center is mostly focusing on training for fresh employees before joining the organisation. In other words, the centre just conducts the beginning training. So, we want to establish an HR department properly and professionally.
If you have any practical expriences, plz help me to sovle this matter.
Thanks in advance.

Dear Yearning,
As you said, if your company integrates both the HR & Training dept,
you as a Hr can focus on Training needs Identidication and Scheduling the same, & even drawing the training plans and Collecting the feedback for the training undergone, and maintaing a record of whole training process.
Hope this message reflects your requirement.
Do let me know your opinion on the same:)

Dear Srilatha,
Firstly, thanks you for your advice. You have just discussed about one of duties in training centre.
But the questions needed to answer is that I want to know how to establish the personnel department with full of Hr responsibilities and divided into different teams taken charge according to separate functions of HR dept such as recruitment and selection, training and development, administration, benefits and compensation, performance management and study of HR policies and procedures.
Do you have any sample of HR dept chart and its own components and functions as I mentioned above. It would be useful if you are working in HR dept, then you coul give me the perfect idea about structure of the HR department.
Best regards,
Yearning

There are some core HR responsibilities likes Performance appraisal, Competency Management , Employee Sataisfaction survey apart from recruitment selection and training and so on, Based upon your style of Implementation you can allocate the same to different Depts you are integrating.
One more thing Processing of Hr Activities differs with one Company to another based upon their bussiness requirements may I know which bussiness your company is into and what is the strength of the Associates who are going to be integrated.
I can help u more If the above Info is furnished.

Dear Srilatha,
We are going to be on the same page. You got me. In any kind of organisation, we always have commonly basic HR responsibilities and activities to some extent.
My organisation is banking industry. we have many branches and agents covering the whole contry. Each of them has its own HR administrative office under the control of Head Office. We want to have HR dept at Head Office taking responsibilies and contronlling all the HR activities in the whole organisation with the managerial system of both decentralization and control.
I hope you and the other members of this site could help me to understand this issue thoroughly.
Regards,
Yearning.
