Hi,
We are located in a multi tenant commercial building where all IT companies are located and we pay for the car parkings.
Please let me know what is the standard policy if any on allocation of car parking to employees, so that we can buy/hire the parking slots from the landlord.

Dear Mr. Prabhu,
There won't be any specific policy for this. You need to find out how many of your employees are expected to come by cars and arrange, if they are not provided then it will be difficult for them to park the cars then they will ask for that. As an alternative you have to arrange transport for them however I believe that hiring or investing on parking space will be costlier hence better to plan for the transport from the company if the nos. are high.

Dear Prabhu,
Normally, at the time of signing the L&L agmt, all admin / landlord gives fixed (min 2-3) parking space (kindly rechekc yr agmt terms). It is depends on location, rent amount & parking space availability in society premise.
• To purchase parking space you need to have parking space cost approval from CFO, Director, GM or any cost approval authority in co.
• Need to make lost of top mgmt employee i.e. Director, GM & VP – AVP who are eligible for parking space (if possible present all the employee list with their designation)
• Need approval on how many parking space to be purchase
Normally only Sr. level person i.e. Director, GM & VP will be given parking space in building premises, rest all employees to arrange their parking outside society premise with their own.
