Am Arun from chennai just now completed my MBA specialised in HR.I would like to clarify my doubt i.e should an fresher start his career in a concultancy firm or in a corporate.

Hi, i suggest, as a fresher you should start with a corporate where u are solely working for that organisation to have indepth experience, this way your concepts would be clear..

:arrow: consultancy is a big area and requires lot of corporate experience to give consultation to your clients. Therefore it will be much better to have the corporate experience for atleast 5 years first which can be fully utilised in consultancy..

Hi hitesh, Thanks for your reply,if am posted in corporate what role will i play in the organisation,is is like HR generalist or in to the core HR practices like T&D,Performance apparaisal etc..

Hi Arun,
I m Minakshi, MBA HR, started working as a recruiter in a consultancy..
and i must tell yu exp is gr8 as yu com to kno the requirements of yur client yu can disscuss with them bout yur area of interest... create a rapport with yur client ..of course not using ur smiles but with yur work...provide gud service to yur client .....fix regular meeting with them ...yu learn many more things ......not only bout yur job but yur future hr job also......its my exp...slowly yu start getting calls from companies for senior positions ...and yu can go ahead with that....rest is yur decision ..as future is yurs...where as if yu keep waiting for a call from an mnc ..then i must tell yu yu r simply wasting yur time...use yur time and at least start experiencing yur profession....once yu get into any job yu wud look for more and thats how yu understand yur job and perform well....................always remember keep yur self determined and keep yur mind fill with fun, seek enjoyment in yur work...then see everyday wud b a gr8 day for yu.
