Congratulations and wish you happy and safe driving.
It is possible to learn car driving in 10 days, provided you are not too afraid of machines. It will be an added advantage in case you already know to drive geared two wheeler. Please note that, driving schools can easyly teach you all basics within 10 days, but to get confidance, you should practice driving all alone without during nights at places where there is no much traffic. Make sure to have Learning Licence to begin with and then Permanant Driving Licence from the day one.
Thanks & Regards

Dear Ms. Jaya,

Hi There! Firstly, congratulations on your being offered a car by your company. However, you question is much funny for me to control my laugh...sorry if it hurts but it is a silly question that you have put up!

You mentioned that you want to learn driving car within 10 days just b'coz your company is about to offer one.

Firstly, kindly understand one thing which is extremely important:

The company is going to give you a licensed vehicle which you will drive on the street. They are NOT AT ALL giving you a "TOY" to play around with and for which you want to learn it in 10 days. Maybe a cycle is a better option to learn in 10 days but not a car.

MARK MY WORDS: This is a vehicle. 10 days are never enough for anybody to perfectly drive a car. You are not being offered a special street by your company to drive on where there are no people walking. During your driving, if incase you end up hitting a human being on the road who could be a small kid, a women, an older person, etc… than you are about to land into SERIOUS troubles that you could have ever imagined of and would then regret the day you drove this car!!!! It is not a joke to drive a car just like that! Even most experienced people have met with serious accidents! And if the person HIT by your car ends up with permanents disability, then you are into a VERY SERIOUS Trouble! You will end up paying lakhs of rupees as COMPENSATION! Secondly, police case can be filed against you for hitting a pedestrian than no matter whose fault it was! Road walkers have no sense of walking, even if it has to cost their life, trust me! Maybe for you, an experienced driver during initial stage of moving around in your new car will be the best option since they are well equipped with experience and professionalism to handle different situations perfectly! That’s why I laughed when you asked that I want to learn driving a car since the one is being about to be offered by your company. Yes, you can learn driving a TOY in matter for few hours b’coz if it hits anybody; there is no police case against you or a heavy compensation! Same applies for riding a cycle.

Now, I seriously suggest that you NEED to have an “Extremely experienced driver” sitting next to your driving seat so that if you are about to hit a person, he can immediately step in to take control of your car and save you from an extremely serious problems!

I basically have no benefit in discouraging you but I being an experienced driver from past 5 years, based on my learning and observation, I would like to alert you in advance of all the possible “EXTREMELY WORSE SCENARIOS” that you might end up with by playing with this sensitive toy known as “CAR”!

ONE LAST PIECE OF INFORMATION BEFORE YOU HIT THE ROAD TO LEARN DRIVING:

PLEASE 100% MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A COMPREHENSIVE PROPER INSURANCE POLICY COVERAGE ELSE YOU ARE ABOUT TO INVITE SERIOUS TROUBLE FINANCIALLY B’COZ INCASE YOU HIT A PERSON WITH YOUR CAR DURING DRIVING, YOUR FIRST RESPONSIBILITY BECOMES TO TAKE HIM TO NEAREST HOSPITAL AT THE EARLIEST (THOUGH MANY DRIVERS PREFER TO ESCAPE OR I SHOULD RATHER SAY: “RUNAWAY” IF GIVEN A CHANCE WHEN THE GENERALPUBLIC IS FAR AWAY). Once you land up at hospital with the patient, you would be paying nothing less than 20K (20’000 rupees) for the treatment BUT, WARNING: THIS ALL DEPENDS ON THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

1) How badly is the person whom you hit has been injured!

2) How smartly the person is trying to act as if he is seriously injured till that extent just with the motive of earning more money within quickest possible time!

3) How is the nature of the doctor attending this person, whether straightforward or greedy for money by nature?

Therefore, always go for an Comprehensive Insurance policy coverage that offers “CASHLESS HOSPITALIZATION so that you need now pay any amount for the treatment of the person.

So, be careful and make sure you keep above points in mind!

Trust me Ms. Jaya, WHAT I MENTIONED ABOVE IS REALLY GOING TO BE WORTHFUL FOR YOU! It is not just the excitement of getting a new car to drive but how peacefully one can live its life and avoid all serious problems and mental harassment as well as financially!

Wishing you all the best for your new car! Enjoy every moments getting to places with the car!

Happy & SAFE Driving!
