Plastic bags, as alternative to the paper bags, were introduced in the market for reducing down tree cutting.

In between, entry of USE & Throw Culture reduced down thickness of plastic carry bags.

Not only that, our HABIT of REUSING thin plastic bags for throwing our household wastes in today's fast pace life has exacerbated the complexity to handle present garbage disposal problems further.

Against the ban of plastic bags, every time manufacturer/ users show their CONCERN FOR TREE CUTTING. While the fact is large number of big trees was simply uprooted during the road widening or city expansion. Usage of paper stationery has multifold increased with our growth.

Why this group had not raised their voices at that time?

Government, in between ENVIRONMENT & ECONOMICS, is helpless to take necessary actions.

Ultimately we, the common people, are the sufferers. Thus we need to take concrete steps to eliminate today’s plastic bags related problems.

All literate people, come forward and demonstrate the way to other illiterate people for eliminating plastic bags related hazards.

While packing material is destroying our environment, why we can't learn to live without plastic packing materials.
Look our past, it was not that bad.
Adopt an approach "A Step Back for GREEN"

Mr. Charanyabhaskaran,
You are absolutely right. We shall go back to paper bags.
We need not to think about our life without plastic. We lived earlier without plastic bags and packings. We need to simply re-adopt previous life style.

Its our lifechoices which make the problem. Intelligent choices can make things better.
Recently i travelled by train from Chennai to Vizag .I observed we the rail users have littered the entire 780 KM along the railway tracks with plastic ,aluminium foils (FOOD WRAPPER).Even in Godavari river there is floating mass of plastic debris about 50 sqm below the rail tracks.
Its better to take food in steel boxes from home if possibe and refill water at stations instead of throwing away the plastic bottles.

Dear Mr. P Chandrasekhar, Truely this was our earlier life. Taking steel food boxes along with us while travelling. We adopted wrong practices of USE & THROW Culture. We need to correct them.
