Managers vs learders
Hi all well like me probably some others may also have queries in understanding the difference between managers and leaders. there are business leaders and there are business managers. and while some leaders are managers and some managers are leaders many times leaders and managers are very different. it may be that leaders can be good managers because of their visionary approach to situations but on the other hand even managers can be good leaders as managers are concerned with the problem at hand; they focus on what has to be done. leaders on the other hand notice what has to be done but spend their time figuring out how to get it done. i would request all to post in and share your point of view on this. thanks & regards anusha.s

Hi all my name is nida aziz and i m working as an hr executive with a leading group of pharmaceuticals companies in karachi pakistan. we were once interviewing an mbbs doctor who was interested in joining indian pharmaceutical industry but couldn t do so 'coz "pharmaceutical companies in india don t hire doctors as product managers training managers business development managers etc." is this true? because in pakistan it is a common practice to hire doctors in pharmaceutical marketing and business development departments. don t you think only pharmacists should be considered in these places? anyway please tell me if there s such thing as not hiring doctors in pharma companies in india or else where in the world. thanks in advance nida aziz
Letter signing authorization
Dear freinds / seniors my organization has branches pan india. we have zonal managers to take care of their respective zones with ho in mumbai. these managers are not deputed at mumbai office. few of our top management people feel that to empower zonal managers this years increment letters which are released from mumbai be signed by the zonal managers alone for their respective zones. i as hr have opposed to this and suggested that there should be 2 signatures on the letters. one from head office and one from zonal managers. i feel these signatures should not be delegated to one person. can i please have your suggestions on this best regards ds
