Hi
I finished MBA programme in IGNOU with first class(71.5%) first attempt. Presently I am working in arts and science college as lecturer in commerce (UG). I wish to teach MBA programme in engineering college. I know very well that IGNOU programme is AICTE approved. But many college principals resisting that DISTANCE EDUCATION cannot be considered. Eventhough I passed UGC NET (MANAGEMENT) AND SLET IN MANAGEMENT but I could not be able to join in MBA department. I need to know whether MBA in distance is recognized or not?

Hi, I am facing the same problem.I have completed Executive MBA programme from IIM INDORE (Business administration) and from Narsi Monjee Inst. Mumbai (in Finance management). I was working in BPO as an Operations Manger. I wish to go in Finance field but companies dont consider me for the post of Finance manager as they dont consider the executive MBA as comparatively to any other MBA from regular course. The max they offer me is to go as an entry level because of my Operations exp not in finance which i dont want to go for.Even in operations I applied for AGM or DGM level they dint consider me because of my executive MBA where as they took a guy from IIM Indore as VP in the same organization. I know that he has done a regular course which is a big thing but he had no exp. although my exp is more than 6 years and I have also studied so hard to get through a PAT test for IIM and NMIMS. Am I not even not eligible for DGM level which is 4 levels lower then VP. I dont why the hell these big institutions claim to provide best education when no companies consider it.What is the use to work so hard and to get through for one of the best institutions when we can not use it anywhere.
