Unauthorise absence from service
The employee has gone on sanctioned leave from 06/04/2010 till 17/04/2010 and thereafter remaining an unauthorised absence since 19/04/2010. the company had send him the notice of unauthorise leave on 25/05/2010 and further against sent on 18/06/2010 and no correspondence received from the employee upto 28/08/2010. now the employee had come and give reason for long leave that his father has met with an serious accident and asking for the salary and bonus now. any body advise wheather we needs to pay him the dues he is asking for or not? what are the legal actions associated in terms of an employer take and employee take. regards kosh
Is gst applicable to full time short term contractual engagements on renewable basis
If an organisation is engaging for 34 yrs on full time exclusive contract basis and give monthly remuneration marks office attendance accords leaves does appraisals gives life insurance accident insurance etc.. what are the common policies to be applied w.r.t. statutory or related retirement benefits applicable are they entitled to pf etc? also if gst is applicable why? or why not? im asking for contractual engagements in general stating from minimum wages to even those above 20l.pa.
Labour licence
Dear sirs we have applied for labour licence on 15th oct 2010 and receive it on dtd 25th oct 2010. however i have engaged the worker since 1st oct 2010 but i have submitted pf and prepared wages sheet for this work since 1st oct 2010. now my question is that for the labour department i will have to show the wage sheet and other resister after getting the licence date i.e. 25th oct 2010 or it will ok from 1st oct 2010. please reply urgently i am waiting for your response. thanks in advance. regards g k sharma
About bonus
Dear hr site i want to know the procedure about getting bonus if employee leave the service. a person worked from 01032010 to 30062011. and change the job. but the early employer refuse to give the bonus of 20102011. pls give detail how be get bonus about from 20102011. from pankaj

Hello please advise me. i joined an ognisation on 15012007.on feb282010 i was asked to resign and work as consultant starting from march012010 with no change in responsibility. again on july012010 i was given new letter that i am regular employee. my last working day was feb152012. please let me know if i am eligible for gratuity.
Regarding compliance of labour law
My company is a construction company presently working in madhya pradesh. we have started our project on 31 march 2010. but we have applied for labour license on 23 nov 2010 and receive the same on 24 nov 2010.since earlier we have not applied for labour license i have not maintained the register of wages / muster roll from april to november 2010.kindly let me know from which month i have to prepare the registers. can i maintained these registers from the month of november 2010 onwards since we have recieved labour license on 24 nov 2010.
