Hello All,
I have been working as a Social Compliance Officer in an organization where I got everything according to the Standard of SA8000, Now I am going to join another organization where i have been asked to establish everything from the begining, Now I am preplexed that from where to start,
Kindly help me out.

First, Go through the SAI -8000 Document & deduce what all it wants
then, Observe what all practices are being carried on in ur organization
& then deduce what all is required to comply with SA-8000.
Prepare an action plan on the priority basis what is required first then move to the less prior one .................carry on

Hi dear,
What i feel is no theory is perfect for every situation, try to be more contingent in decision making as no one of us know whats the situation in that new organization.
Try to make the situational analysis than list down the Gaps you felt.
And try to contact any Previous HR in the organization if u can ,so that you can have even better idea of whats the situation is and how people react to things in the organization.Than try to make a decision.

start with the manuals and standing orders.
make age proof compulsory and overtime as per limits allowed.
check security staff also for OT.
make the necessary committees.
make core team.
conduct employee awareness classes.
about BNW take the help of an NGO nearby and start it.
carry out risk analysis of all the activities and make the safety manual ,identify the PPEs.
