Some People in my organization were kept on rolls and paid honorarium and subsequently they were placed on pay scale after 3 years or 2 yeears. Which date shall we take as joining date for the purpose of calculation of Gratuity under Law?

Please tell me that while calculation of gratuity, suspension period of any employee counted as continuous service or not. Regards Sandeep Gupta
