Hi,

For all companies in India the following are compulsary under the law:
26th January - Republic Day
15th August - Independence Day
2nd October - Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti

If you are based in Maharashtra then 1st May - Maharashtra Day is also compulsory.

Hope this helps!

Dear Sudheer,

As already described that these 3 Holidays are compulsary Public Holidays. For rest of the Holidays list you need to check with the Publich Holidays list of that State..

Amit Seth.

There are 4 National Holidays which should be given by law
26th January= Republic Day
15th August= Independence Day
2nd October= Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti
And 1st May= Labour Day (holiday is not given for maharashtra Day)
Rest of the holidays would include according to the state or company preference

Dear Member,

This is to inform you that none of the Haryana State labour laws allowed us seven festival holidays. You should first decide under which of the State Act you are required to allow national & festival holidays & then go through the provision relating to grant of these holidays.
