No if the strength is 18 than is not mandatory.. can you please let me know what kind of company is this...
Dear Ravi,

PF will be applicable only if the number of employees reaches to 20 at any day of the year.
Moreover, those whose basic salary is more than 6500/- may be exempted from the EPF.

Dear Seniors,
Hi, If the employer wish to cover the organisation they can do so by giving declaration that the two employee whose baisc is more than Rs 10000/- and are exempted to become member of the PF organisation.

In my organisation I looked afte4rt the total PF return and all the necesary documentation. We have done in the same way.
Dear Ravi, If your company is " Factory " according to Factories Act then you are covered for PF!!!
dear sir if the strenght of the employees is more then 20 you would have to applied for pf code and your company should be under factory act. Thanks shyam Thakur
Pf is applicable to all companies whose employee strength is minimum 20 and basic salary is Rs 6500/- per month or below.

If the no. of employees = 20 with basic salary = 6500/- p.m or below - Its mandatory to get the organisation registered under PF and for the rest of the employees it can be voluntary.

Hi this is pravinkumar, Pf is applicable to an organization only if the employees working are 20+
If the employee strength is 20 or more then PF is applicable. It is immaterial whether you are a Private Ltd. Co., a Partnership firm or a Limited Co. Vasant Nair
