Good days to all of you,

Well, I wish to get feedback from members pertaining above subject.

I have been working for past 6 years in HR and to be honest, I' m sick with my malfunction top management direction. Probably that's why it lead me to have such thinking - working for myself rather than employed.

Yes, although i know being employed is the safest way to earn wages, but somehow i feel something missing in my life. I am expecting a baby soon and definitely i want to balance up my family and working life. However working at corporate does not allow me to do so because they didnt implement flexi working hour.

And lastly i m very keen with recruitment and always enjoy meeting with people to talk about their career advancement, challenges, dream and etc rather than performing payroll?? It such a boring job anyway...

My problem is I m starting my career from corporate and now intend to move into sales line without database. Do you think that am I going to sustain with this environment?

My family discourage me to do so because no network connection!

I m in dilemma!

Warmest regards,
Sabrina

Hi Sabrina
I am also in the HR field and that too is my ultimate goal. It is somewhat true that you do need a database but also with little homework even now and getting access to recruiting portals will also help you develop a database. Dont be very ambicious at first. Slowly try and gain a foothold first by giving excellent service and good PR. I am sure you will in a couple of year be very proud of yourself.

Dear all,
Many thanks for your moral support. I guess i support to go on with this plan although there is no guarantee way whether this plan work or not. But if i didnt try, i think for the rest of my life i will be much regret later.
I havent try my ability and wanna to test my competency skill....all the while in HR line, beside coaching, doing performance appraisal for people and office management, I keep on reminding people to achieve their target, but I m thinking why not for myself??
(silly...huh I think myself it is!)
Hi Krishna, many thanks for your kind help. At this moment, I would like to do my ownself and do some research over starting recruitment firm. Everything is in order. If I need your guidance, sure I will asking for your assistance.
Nevertheless to say, I m very grateful with all of support. I hope my decision to excel in this line will lead me to life satisfaction in later stage.
Warmest regards,

Dear Sabrina,

Remember one important fact, before starting your own consultancy.

First, you have to invest some money for a place for setting up your office, computer, telephone, interior decoration, etc.,

Secondly, there is no limit for collecting the database, for which you have to keep on moving from one place to another. Then you should employ 1 or 2 persons to look after your office, to attend calls, etc., You have to pay salary for them. Minimum Rs.5,000/- otherwise no one will work.

Thirdly, your conveyance expenses will increase on a daily basis before you yield your income from your investment.

Fourthly, it is not easy to catch a reputed client and getting a payment from them is not a joke in this present economic recession.

Finally, the candidate who you employ at your client place should be on the job for a minimum period of 3 months, otherwise you have to provide a replacement candidate for the same free of cost.

Then you yourself will decide that, always it is better being an employee than being an employer. So, think and decide.

This is my kind advice because I am also a HR professional.

Thanks and Best wishes.
