Do I have a career growth working as Executive Assistant??
Dear All!!

I am Shivani working as a Placement Coordinator with an institute.I have worked as a Cabin Attendant with indigo and Kingfisher airlines.

Recently I got a Proposal from a leading Telecom company to work as an Executive Assistant to the Circle Head, which is a better brand and ofcourse is paying me a lot better.

Please guide me is it sensible enough to switch over.Do I have better growth opportunities there????Because I am not interested in continuing in the Aviation sector as it does'nt give job stability.

Please help!!

In-sufficient information
Dear Shivani

You have not given us any idea about our educational qualifications, nor have you given any information on the span of your experience, so it difficult to advise you on what would be a better career option for you; looking into the future prospects.

How long have you been working as Placement Coordinator ?
Is the Institute a reputed one? With good all-India ranking ??
You can continue, if you are comfortable and you can grow in Academic environment.

On the other hand, if EA job is paying well and is with a leading brand; you can switch.
But remember, EA is generally a dead-end job, as far as career progression is concerned. It does give a tremendous learning opportunities on one hand and the aura of power on the other hand. Working hours are long and tedious.
You should not continue for long in this designation/role, if you are looking for career progression and growth.

Hope the above information is of help to you.

Warm regards.
