Poll..should we have office on saturdays.....

hello ppl tday is saturday..and i was jus working and forgot to check cite hr like any other day...i want to knw every 1 ones opinion whether we should wrk on saturdays.......send in ur opinions....i hope u have a nyc weekend..

Except tht its a compulsory working day Rule..

If the organisation works in shift basis then we need not to work on Saturdays and Sundays (If we can manage to complete our task within the 5 days week) and we can declare 5 days week working. Make sure that, due to this 5 days work the production / routine work should not get hampered.

And then what will you do in holidays and sundays in your resident. Don't you feel bore.

At least you can see some different people and faces if you come out with work.

I personally prefer to work 5days in a week, but if it is the company policy to work alternate saturdays/6 days in a week...........than we have to follow the rules.

i think mr bhaskar is rite is we are given targets to finish and if we can finish on fri no need to attend on sat..thanks vandana and maggie...i request more ppl to send in their views and make this session more interesting..

if you take my advice there should be only mon , tue, wed, thur, working n fri , sat , sun should be holidays,

If the task demans work on saturdays - then I guess you need to work on a saturday too.

For instance - in my role as an HR and major responsibilities in recruitments, I even work on Sundays when required, because the candidates will not be abel to take a leave during week days usually (since i am in the Garment industry, people work on tight shipment schedules, and being absent a day can mean a lot of difference for them). Moreover I will not have the other office people's interfeance .. so I work on a SUnday when required,.. and yes, my boss understands if I need to compensate this and grants me leave without questioning me at all.

Same way - in some jobs it would be necessary to work on a saturday too. Moreover - you are being paid for it. So if you dont prefer a pay on that day you might as well take a day off and inform your boss about it. He might as well think of re working on it, or rehiring for the role ...LOL!

That was on a lighter aspect.
