hi arun,

I had posted my comments y'day.

but believe me - this story continues to haunt me, it was there in my thoughts before I hit the bed and was the first thing that came up when I woke up this morning. in fact I have stored this in my system and am reading it quite frequently.

one great hell of a story with tremendous meanings inside.

hats off to you for bringing up such a wonderful and touchy story

@ramesh. Something similar happened with me too. the whole of the day this story was at the back of my mind. I was actually relating all the incidents with this one. And to be very honest, I forgave someone, which made me happy!

Thanks arun for sharing this one!

hi nidhi,

we need to be at peace with ourselves - the best thing to do is offload our burden. forgiving our enemies or someone close who has hurt us brings a lot of relief.

guess you did that after reading this post - good for you, you can be relaxed and in a better frame of mind.

also our feeling of guilt and anger vanishes and this results in better health for us.

the question I would have wanted to ask Arun is - the source of the post (it's certainly Indian as there's the mother - daughter-in-law conflict and the son being torn between two of the most important ladies in his life), though like Indian cinema few links are missing - what about the girl's parents and the woman the guy met - maybe doctor or someone close to him. (Arun, would appreciate if you can shed light on this)

guess the guy handled it better and died relieved - after making up with his wife and also seeing his kid.

while I enjoy the posts in this forum, just a few leave lasting impression and come back to mind and haunt them. this was one such post. happy to read it

Good one. Ego is a dark shadow which has eclipsed many lives.Detachment of Ego is the best attachment towards the gobal family as a whole.

@ Ramesh, Yes i did it after reading this one! And true, i was so much relieved.

As far as the origin of the post is concerned, I think its from China. I remember reading somwhere, that the mother-in-law was eating with her Chopsticks . Though, all the Indian masala is present, so can't be too sure!
