I m working as a Hr exective in mnc in pune.Right now I m handelling: Recruitment Attendance management Appraisal Maintaining personal files of employees. Attend to employees Query and solve the problem related to H.R Identifying the training needs of the departments. . this would give u basic idea

its not a big deel.
do few things:-
1. first go through the hr policy.
2. read the grading policy.
3. salary is depend on few thing
salary= basic+d.a.+conveyence allowonce+medical allownce+books & periodicals+educaion allowonce+vehicle maintanance.
( And so many more thing) depennds on the employee grading, their work cultrue i.e. marketing,sales,accounts,admin etc.
4. In so many cases basic part is very low becouse on the basic salary we are calculating PF thats why so many organisation prferred that basic is to be low & other allownce is to be high to make CTC high.
